This estate has become, over the last eight decades, a true family castle, welcoming the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Le Bigot every summer for stays of varying lengths.
Since the mid-2010s, the latter, wishing to maintain this heritage steeped in history, have offered the privatization of the place for stays and weddings, which now, in their own way, punctuate the life of the castle in spring, summer and autumn.

The house was built in the fourteenth century and has a tunnel to the church, presumably built when the house was given to the Church in around the fifteenth century. It’s now closed in, but you can still see the entrance in the basement of La Tour…where you will also find the medieval bread ovens! Purportedly, there is also a tunnel under the fields to the new Chateau, where the owners moved when this house became a Priory.
We have the apse of the village church in the garden, which makes a wonderful backdrop for weddings. Anyone who is French and Catholic can marry in the church and have the reception right next door in Le Prieure. It’s a family house and we create the atmosphere of having come to your favourite relative’s home for your wedding. We make it as personal as we possibly can - down to drying the rose petals all summer for the home made confetti!
